Farm Tours, Gourmet Food, Southern Highlands-NSW, Jill Dyson, Nick Padol.

FoodPath is in the business of researching and providing unique food tours

to producers in the Southern Highlands and Southern Tablelands of NSW.

We visit only producers with insight and knowledge in the field they do business in.

Our regular food tours are self drive or by bus depending on the size of the group.
Small groups maximise your experience.

Come along and learn, experience, and... have fun while you do.

We provide buses for groups of 12 or more (tour prices are adjusted accordingly).

About Jill Dyson

Thanks for visiting our website. We hope you join us on one or all of our tours.

The following is a small bit of information about us, your tour researchers and guides.

Jill grew up in a large farming family near Crookwell and understands farmers, their business and their issues. She is an active member of the Slow Food movement and has had 5 years experience as a Committee Member of the local group.

For the past 2 years Jill was Convivium Leader of Slow Food Southern Highlands. During that time she organised many activities including producer visits, taste education workshops  and  special dinners supporting local producers and local  businesses.

Last year Jill organised a day out in the Southern Highlands for a bunch of chefs at the request of Alfonse Ales from Bilsons who wanted to use more regional food in his restaurant. Alfonse gathered nine chefs and apprentices from some of the top restaurants in Sydney. They visited four different producers, a butcher who sells meat from local farmers and had a leisurely lunch at a beautiful winery. This was such a success that Jill and Nick started to think about offering a similar experience to others.

Jill knows the Southern Highlands and Southern Tablelands well and is keen to share her knowledge and experiences.

Here's looking forward to meeting you!

Join me on my gastronomical journey in the Southern Highlands and nearby regions.

Let's have a look at good places to eat and drink, where to find good produce and where some people do good things to good clean food and where sometimes people who should know better, commit "food homicide", by mangling and mixing good ingredients until they are unrecognisable.

On this Journey we'll learn all about food, its origins and transformations.
